SCUF Vantage 2 revealed, custom controller with even more overpowered features

SCUF Gaming has revealed and announced the release date for the new SCUF Vantage 2 controller for PS4 and PC. Its latest custom pad boasts a number of improvements over the original Vantage, including the addition of two more customizable “Sax” buttons, as well as improved grip and triggers.

Custom controllers have evolved throughout the years to offer more and more enhancements over a stock pad. The SCUF Vantage 2 aims to take things even further, with six key new features:

  • Improved High-Performance Grip
  • Upgraded trigger functions
  • PC Customization App for Windows
  • Improved button haptics
  • Refined tactile textures in the faceplate, trigger, bumper, and Sax buttons
  • Enhanced USB connection system

Despite cramming in a bunch of new enhancements, the SCUF Vantage 2 still retains the strengths of the original (review here), with a patented paddle control system, hair triggers, adjustable trigger stops, quick-access remapping switch, removable faceplate and vibration modules, advanced audio control, and more.

The SCUF Vantage 2’s modular components means that users can swap out thumbsticks and D-pads to for new ones, which should help boost the controller’s lifespan.

SCUF is currently taking pre-orders for both the wired-only version (starting at $169.96) and the wired and wireless version (starting at $199.95), which are set to launch on October 14.

In addition to the standard black color variant, there is also a limited edition SCUF Vantage 2 Modern Warfare version. This edition starts at $219.95 and features an interchangeable faceplate design, removable vibration modules with marks to mimic sniper scopes, and a Call of Duty logo on the touchpad. The Modern Warfare SCUF Vantage 2 also comes with an in-game sniper scope charm.
