Atlus has become one of the most beloved Japanese companies over this past several years. Thanks to franchises like Persona and wacky one-offs like Catherine, Atlus has gained a lot of respect from the hardcore.
As such, it should come as no surprise to hear that a number of corporate entities are looking to acquire the studio. According to Bloomberg Japan (via DualShockers) Sega Sammy Holdings made a bid on Atlus, along with about another twenty of other companies.
The bidding has reportedly reached 20 billion yen (around 200 million dollars) in the initial auction. Index Corporation, the parent company of Atlus, will allegedly decide on a buyer by month's end.
Where do you think Atlus should go? Would Sega be a good fit for this super creative studio? Let us know in the comments below.
