Very few games are able to provide major updates without running into a few glitches, and Fortnite is no exception. If you haven’t heard, Fortnite added boats to the game with the launch of Chapter 2 Season 1. After some experimentation, players have discovered a Fortnite boat bug, which is allows boats to fly. Here is everything you need to know about how to fly a boat in Fortnite.
Fortnite Boat Bug | How to fly a boat
If there is one thing Reddit is good for, it’s providing clips of fun, in-game glitches and bugs. It should come as no surprise that a Redditor, Kovuh, discovered the Fortnite boat bug glitch. If you’d like to try it out, our guide will show you how to fly a boat, but you better do it quickly because Epic is already working on a patch. According to an Epic employee in the Reddit thread, the staff is looking into it and will “try to do boater.”

Until the patch launches, likely later this week, you can still have some fun with the Fortnite boat bug. As you can see in the video below, you’ll need to park a boat along the edge of the waterfall located northwest of Lazy Lake. From there, hop in and boost off the edge and you should find that instead of falling to your death, you’ll be flying across the map in a boat. It can be a bit tricky to get the hang of, so you may need to try a couple of games in order to get it to work. It is unclear if you have to be in the storm for the glitch to work.
However, it is worth noting that there doesn’t seem to be any way to land the boat. So you’ll need to get creative when you try to figure out how to get out, unless you’re on a suicide mission. Now that you’re aware of the Fortnite boat bug, hop into a game and try it for yourself. Just remember, please fly responsibly.
