While the global pandemic has been getting us some games early, others are being delayed, and now Wasteland 3 is among them. inXile Entertainment has announced a Wasteland 3 release date delay, pushing back the launch of this strategy RPG by several months.
“We’re in a great position with both Microsoft and Deep Silver supporting our desire to ensure the game launches in the best possible circumstances, and to add a few extra months to ensure this is a stellar product on day one,” inXile entertainment said in a tweet. “With that, Wasteland 3’s new release date is August 28, 2020.”

The delay comes as a result of inXile shifting to a remote work environment several weeks ago. While the dev team is mostly managing, moving away from their offices has introduced “logistical challenges’ which have made meeting the expected May 19 release date all but impossible.
Although this Wasteland 3 release date delay is unfortunate, it will ensure that we’ll get the best possible game in a time when we sorely need fun stuff to play. You’ll be able to get your hands on it on August 28, 2020. For now, you can put in a pre-order or add it to your wishlist on Steam.
