It looks like the new The Last of Us 2 release date may have been leaked by Amazon. If you’ve been sad about The Last of Us Part II release date being pushed back, it’s looking like you may not have to wait very long at all.
Originally, The Last of Us 2 was supposed to come out on May 29, 2020 after being delayed once. Then, a second delay happened due to concerns about actually getting the game in customers’ hands during the ongoing pandemic. Now, it looks like the new The Last of Us 2 release date may be June 26, 2020, as reported by Game Rant.

A screenshot captured by Game Rant shows the release date for The Last of Us 2 for that date. Since then, the date seems to have shifted back to Amazon’s standard vague release date of December 31, 2020, a practice that the retailer often uses when the launch date for a product is uncertain.
So, are we really only going to have to wait one month to get our hands on The Last of Us 2? Many countries have begun to lift their restrictions several months after the pandemic shook the world and that was the core reason for the second delay in the first place. If we’re lucky, we won’t have to wait too much longer to enjoy Ellie’s next adventure.
