What is the Apex Legends Season 5 New Map?

Whenever it begins, it looks like there will be a new Apex Legends Season 5 map. In this guide, we’ll let you in on what we think the answer to “what is the Apex Legends Season 5 new map?” is. Read on to discover what map you could be playing on when Season 5 begins in Respawn’s free-to-play battle royale game. Could we be going back to Kings Canyon? Find out below.

What is the Apex Legends Season 5 New Map?

Apex Legends Season 5 new map

While we’re calling it a “new map,” in reality, it seems like we’ll be going back to an updated version of Kings Canyon in Apex Legends Season 5. Therefore, we think that the Apex Legends Season 5 new map is an updated and added to version of Kings Canyon. We’re basing this on the Season 5 teases we’ve been shown up to now, and the datamining efforts of those in the community.

One area of Kings Canyon that looks as though it is being upgraded is the Kings Canyon Lab (Singh Labs). Three map panels are being teased as we head towards Apex Legends Season 5. Thanks to u/Abhi_mhatre’s Reddit thread, we know what the three panels are (we’ve included u/Abhi_mhatre’s image above, to help you out here). As you can see in the image above, it looks as though we have new doors added to different areas that open up to new areas to explore on the Kings Canyon map. This seems to be particularly true of the Singh Labs, at least.

If we are going back to an updated version of Kings Canyon in Season 5, it won’t be the first time the original Apex Legends map has been changed. Dsdude464’s comment in this Reddit thread tells us of “more sub-level rooms” in Singh Labs, too. So whatever the new version of Kings Canyon looks like, it appears it will have something to do with the Singh Labs. We’ll have to wait and see what gets officially confirmed by Respawn and EA leading up to the launch of Season 5.
