The Smite 7.7 Update patch notes have arrived, finally bringing a bunch of new content to the game! Central to this new patch is the debut of the Avatar Battle Pass which adds notable characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender into the game. The ATLA additions include Aang, Korra, Zuko, and more, so let’s jump right into it!

The big-ticket feature in the Smite 7.7 Update patch notes is the debut of the Avatar Battle Pass. This brand-new Battle Pass gives all players the Team Avatar Jump Stamp, PABU! Avatar, an Avatar Loading Screen, and an Avatar Title. That’s not all, though — as the Smite 7.7 Update patch note, some brand-new items are being added to the premium track!

Of course, the Smite 7.7 Update patch notes don’t just debut some new content. A number of fixes have made their way into Smite as well. One major overhaul is to the game’s report system. According to Hi-Rez Studios, players have been complaining about getting too many report notifications. That’s going to change starting now.
Firstly, any “unwarranted” reports will no longer notify the receiving player. Secondly, any non-serious infractions will have no notification whatsoever as noted in the Smite 7.7 Update patch notes.
Additionally, the Smite 7.7 Update patch notes state that Hi-Rez had added a new system to cut down on malicious reporting. Repeated abuse of the reports system — say, by mass-reporting a Twitch streamer just because you don’t like him.

Punishment Reports
- We’ve heard complaints over too many report notifications. In cases where these reports are unwarranted, the normal playing of matches will resolve the issue and no action will be taken against those players.
- We will be, however, suppressing notifications for reports where the system doesn’t detect serious infractions.
- We’re also adding a new system to better detect malicious reporting of other players who have committed no infraction.
- This should not discourage players from reporting – nothing will happen if upon review we choose not to take action on a few of your reports.
- Repeated abuse of the system, however—mass reporting streamers falsely, habitually reporting opponents in Duel, etc—is a bannable offense.
Vision Shard
- We’re changing the reminder to purchase a second relic to appear when you enter the fountain, instead of waiting until you’ve walked out.
BUG FIXES
General Gameplay
- Fixed an issue where if a player dropped from a ranked match, they’d be shown their TP and ranked progress in the next match they play, regardless of the mode
- Fixed a small window of time during their intro animation when Jungle camp monsters could be damaged from outside of their leash radius.
UI
- Live Spectate – In Assisted camera mode, fixed an issue where if your selected player dies, the camera does not jump to another player.

RANKED
- The Mid Season Ranked reset is here!
- As with previous splits, Variance will be softly reset as will players who are Diamond and above. Players will have a renewed chance to prove themselves and players will need to fight to claim the number one spot on the leaderboard!
- God Leaderboards and Leaderboard Frames are being reset.
- We hope players have enjoyed a longer window to flex their main gods and show off their skill with the frame, but it is time to start fresh. Good luck to everyone trying to become the number one Kuzenbo!
JOUST AND DUEL
The new Joust Map has continued to create some interesting metas in both Joust and Duel. One complaint that we have seen continue is the strength of late game fire minions. These waves are ending games too easily and leading to some anticlimactic matches. We are removing the protection scaling and decreasing the Health scaling so that players can focus more on the god vs god matchup in these modes.
- Removed Protections scaling on Fire Minions (was 0.5)
- Decreased Max Health scaling from 20 to 10 for Fire Brutes

- Added a note that enemies need to be hit by 3 Acorns to be stunned rather than ‘all’. It is intended for Thistlethorn empowered Acorn Blast to stun if only 3 acorns hit.
