Even though this weird bug seems scary, it probably is not. Your rewards should pop into your account almost instantly when you load back in from the main menu. If you’re playing on PS4, use the Share button to take a video and compare and contrast your total rewards before and after the error message. You should see that you have your rewards have been added from your most recent match.
On PC, you might not have such an easily accessible way to track your rewards, but it’s likely the same deal. It appears that this is just a temporary goof and not something that will eat your rewards. It’s difficult to always keep track of what you have after every match so it can be even more difficult to realize if you’ve actually lost anything.
If you’re certain that you have lost Kudos or Crowns as some are claiming, just wait a bit longer and if your rewards still haven’t popped, maybe let Mediatonic know on the game’s Discord server or Twitter page. Just be sure to be nice about it since the game is going through a rough launch. Mediatonic even took the game offline to deal with its many launch-day issues.
Other games have had this weird issue before. Doom Eternal also didn’t immediately give players their experience upon completion of a Battlemode match. But much like Fall Guys, that XP automatically showed up later. However, unlike Fall Guys, it would often take a few hours for the rewards to be doled out.
