Does Assassin’s Creed Valhalla have romance options?

Best Answer: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla does have romance options, but not to the degree or depth as those seen in Odyssey.

Searching for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla romance options is natural given how many were in the previous game, Odyssey. That Greece-based RPG had a lot options for romantic encounters for both Kassandra and Alexios, after all. But Valhalla is not as heavily focused on choices, which automatically raises the question on whether or not ACV has romance options.

Does Assassin's Creed Valhalla have romance options?

Valhalla does have romance options. However, these options are quite limited and are incredibly rare, giving the impression that it doesn’t. Characters from side missions don’t often offer up sex as often as they did in Odyssey. Although it is rare, it does happen.

The main campaign is similarly dry, but has slightly more opportunities. One of the first instances of a possible sexual encounter comes while doing the mission thread in East Anglia. At the final mission, a character at the wedding offers himself to Eivor. The dialogue option shows a small heart next to it or a heart with an arrow through it, as shown in the above pictures. There are also other romance options in the main story thread that pop up.

It isn’t clear if male Eivor has the same options as female Eivor or if he has a different option to make up for it, but they both seem to have similar if not the exact same options. Sexual partners shouldn’t dissuade players from picking one over the other. Characters in Odyssey often were quite fluid and this approach accounted for a various amount of sexual orientations.

While it remains to be seen how many total possible sexual encounters there are in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for both male and female Eivor, it is pretty safe to say that romantic choices are very scarce and pale in comparison to the relatively horny Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Vikings are apparently more interesting in pillaging villages over pillaging trousers. This doesn’t mean the game is prudish or anything, as many characters make jokes about sex or, as they say, plowing. It just doesn’t usually involve the player.
