Does Hitman 3 include Hitman 1 and 2?

Hitman 3 serves to end the globe-crossing World of Assassination trilogy. And, as a nice bit of fan service, IO Interactive has included a way to import past locations into the newest release. But do old levels and content come with the game? Does Hitman 3 include Hitman 1 and 2, or do you have to make a separate purchase in order to play previous levels?

Does Hitman 3 come with Hitman 1 and 2 levels and content?

No, Hitman 3 does not include Hitman 1 or Hitman 2. However, it is possible to import past locations and content into the newest release. In order to get Hitman 1 and 2 content into Hitman 3, you’ll need to either own the previous games or purchase their respective Access Passes.

In other words, your purchase of Hitman 3 does not necessarily include past locations. However, players who purchased the previous games on PlayStation or Xbox will be able to import that content free of charge. For more details, check out our guide on how to import locations into Hitman 3.

The system works for PC, too, but there’s one complication: Hitman 3 is a timed exclusive on the Epic Games Store. This means that players who own Hitman 1 or 2 on Steam aren’t able to gain access to all those previous locations, at least not yet. Fortunately, the developers at IO Interactive are working on a way for them to be able to bring all of those levels and unlocks into the new release.

Otherwise, if you want to be able to play Hitman 1 or 2 story levels in Hitman 3, you’ll need to purchase an Access Pass. These essentially unlock all the content for each game, bringing the whole of the World of Assassination trilogy into Hitman 3. Both the Hitman 1 GOTY Edition Access Pass and the Hitman 2 Standard Access Pass are available for purchase through the Epic Games Store, and will unlock content from those games respectively.

Technically speaking, Hitman 3 does not come with Hitman 1 and 2. However, it is possible to bring content from those games into the new release. It’s free if you purchased either or both of the prior games; otherwise, you’ll need to purchase an Access Pass.
