Is Destruction AllStars free-to-play?

Destruction AllStars is set to launch on February 2, but many gamers are wondering if they will need to pay for it. So, is Destruction AllStars free-to-play or is it paid-for? Here’s the need-to-know on how much this new game costs and how PlayStation Plus impacts things.

Is Destruction AllStars a free-to-play game?

Is Destruction AllStars free-to-play

Destruction AllStars will be a free-to-play game for PlayStation Plus subscribers for the first two months after release.

Starting February 2, those who have a PS Plus subscription will be able to add Destruction AllStars to their game library at no additional cost. This must be done within the first two months of release. Once added to their library, users can play this PS5 game at any time.

Two months after its launch, Destruction AllStars will have to be bought, even by PlayStation Plus members. It will cost $69.99, assuming no additional deals or discounts are added.

Destruction AllStars was originally going to launch in 2020, but it was pushed back to February 2 in addition to being confirmed as a PlayStation Plus title. In that time, the developer has likely polished up the experience and (hopefully) gotten it ready to be played by the huge number of PS Plus subscribers.

Back in 2015, PS Plus subscribers enjoyed a similar benefit with Rocket League. At its launch, that game went immediately free to everyone with a subscription. It later became paid-for and, later still, ultimately went totally free-to-play.

In other gaming news, GameRevolution’s latest review took a look at The Medium, a horror title that is “a step in the right direction for Bloober Team.”

Those big into Call of Duty: Warzone will want to know about the paid-for skin that is turning players invisible.
