What cereal has Pokemon cards?

It’s the 25th-anniversary of the Pokemon franchise, and the celebration has already begun with exclusive mini-sets of Pokemon cards popping up. The McDonald’s cards are incredibly popular right now, and we’ve seen large format cards release as well. There’ll be more sets releasing as the year goes on, too. That means fans will want to know what cereal has Pokemon cards and when they’ll release.

Which cereal has Pokemon: The Trading Card Game packs inside?

General-Mills-Pokemon-Cereal

As part of the Pokemon 25th-anniversary celebration, General Mills introduced its Berry Bolt Pokemon-branded breakfast cereal. The cereal hit shelves late last year but didn’t launch with any Pokemon cards inside. However, specially-marked boxes of General Mills cereal, including the Pokemon cereal, will have Pokemon cards in them starting on February 27, according to TheGamer. However, some fans are reporting that boxes are already on shelves, so keep an eye out for them.

In addition to the Pokemon cereal, these General Mills brands have been confirmed to come with the promo packs:

  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch
  • Trix

It’s likely that other General Mills brands will include the cards as well.

The Pokemon cards included in the cereal will be semi-unique. The common cards will be reprints from Sword and Shield sets. However, the following holographic cards will be unique to the Pokemon cereal packs (though they’ll reuse artwork from previous collections):

  • Galarian Ponyta
  • Gossifleur
  • Hatenna
  • Morpeko
  • Pikachu
  • Wooloo

While all these cards will have unique promo numbers, it seems like only the Pikachu card includes the 25th-anniversary logo. This is a bit strange since every card from the McDonalds set carried the 25th-anniversary branding.

Like many products, these cereal packs will likely be targeted by scalpers upon release. There are a ton of them already listed on eBay, but fans shouldn’t worry. The most desired card, the holographic Pikachu, is included with every single pack. When the promo officially launches on February 27, these Pokemon cards should be easy to find.
