The Pokemon family is getting bigger, literally, with the sale of a very special type of Pokemon card. While you’re used to seeing classics like Charizard, Pikachu, and Blastoise fetching big money, everything has changed now. This “Thicc Charizard” NFT card is valued at an astounding $30,000.
What is the ‘Thicc Charizard’ Pokemon card?
Sadly, you won’t be able to grab Thicc Charizard in a regular pack or come across it in Pokemon Go. Instead, it’s one of several “Thicc Pokemon” NFTs that are going for big money in the crypto market. Four months ago, the original Thicc Charizard – fittingly sold by a company called ThiccPokemon – went for $26,824.35. Now, there are several more on the market, with some even valued at around $85,000.
If Charizard doesn’t float your boat, you’ll be glad to know the ThiccPokemon banner caters for more than just Charmander’s final evolution. Currently on sale is an Ultra Thiccball, Thicc Growlithe, and Thicc Zubat. These ones aren’t nearly as costly as Thicc Charizard, however.
If Pikachu is your favorite Pokemon, then fear not. The franchise’s most famous creature has also been given the Thicc treatment. Its two key moves are “Clap” and “Thunder Cheeks.” Yes, you read that right. Buying one of these NFTs would set you back a hefty $2,988. That said, can you really put a price on owning your own Thicc Pokemon?

With comedic value and an astounding price tag, the ThiccPokemon label has to be some of the most valuable NFTs on the market. They certainly won’t be for everyone, but if your Pokemon fandom is missing something, then this might just fill that gap.
