Madden 22 Dynasty Edition vs MVP Edition: Differences and which to buy?

The yearly release of Madden is just around the corner, with Madden 22 due to launch on August 20, 2021. This edition is overhauling the much-maligned Franchise Mode, with more skill progression, and tactical depth. There’s also a range of editions of the game available for purchase, with the Standard Edition, Dynasty Edition, and MVP Edition on sale. If you aren’t sure which one to purchase, we’ve got you covered, with a breakdown of the special versions of Madden 22.

The one difference between the Madden Dynasty Edition and MVP Edition is that the Dynasty version comes with one other extra bonus: That is a choice of a Legends Pack in the Ultimate Team mode, between a Brady pack, or a Mahomes pack. You can expect that pack to contain a Legendary card, if the name is anything to go by.

Otherwise, both editions are the same. Both will provide early access they’ll grant you to Madden 22. Those versions release on August 17 – three days before the standard edition launches. In fact, there are a lot of similarities between the premium editions. They are as follows:

  • 3 days early access, with exclusive challenges
  • Free next-gen upgrade
  • Pick between Brady or Mahomes exclusive item
  • Elite Passer item
  • Level Up Gear Capsule
  • Franchise Points (60 for Dynasty Edition, 100 for MVP Edition)
  • Tom Brady gear package
  • Exclusive ‘Face of the Franchise’ player class
  • Player pick out of 32 NFL players
  • Free fantasy picks (22 for Dynasty, 11 for MVP)

Of course, it’s also worth considering price. For next-gen owners, the Dynasty Edition costs $119.99, and the MVP Edition costs $99.99. The base game is priced at $59.99, so you’ll need to consider whether you’ll get your money’s worth out of the extra features. There’s a lot available, but they’ll mostly cater to hardcore players. So if you’re more casual when playing Madden, it might be worth thinking hard about purchasing them.

In other news, it seems like The Batman might get a PG-13 rating. We’ve also got a review of the HexGaming Rival PS5 controller.
