Pokemon Go players are seeking to add Hoopa, the Mythical Psychic/Ghost-type Pokemon, to their Pokedex. But, is it currently possible to get Hoopa on iPhone (iOS) and Android? Here’s the need-to-know info on how to catch Hoopa in Pokemon Go.
Pokemon Go: How to get Hoopa (2021)
Pokemon Go players will be able to catch Hoopa when the Psychic/Ghost-type Mythic Pokemon arrives in a future Raid or Challenge event.
There are currently rings in the sky on the Pokemon Go map screen, seemingly made by a Hoopa. This appears to be a clear hint that Hoopa will join the game soon; with the current Ultra Unlock 2021 event phase coming to a close at the end of the month, fans could see a Pokemon Go Hoopa release date around August 31, 2021.
It’s only possible to speculate right now, though The Pokemon Company and Niantic are dropping some clear Hoopa hints. With that in mind, it seems highly likely that players will see a new Pokemon Go Hoopa Pokedex entry at some point soon. When that happens, the Pokemon most likely won’t be unlockable in random encounters. Instead, users will need to participate in a special Raid or Challenge event to capture the rare Mythic Pokemon.

In other news, there’s a major new Destiny 2 leak ahead of today’s big live stream. Call of Duty: Vanguard will mark the return of the controversial V2 Rocket, a Nuke Killstreak equivalent fit for the game’s timeframe. Psychonauts 2 is also well worth the long wait; it’s a “genuinely heart-warming story” with a visual direction that’s “second-to-none,” so be sure to read the full review.
