FromSoftware just announced an Elden Ring delay, setting the game back by over a month. It’s unfortunate news, though players can demo the upcoming open-world RPG sooner than they might expect. An Elden Ring Network Test is launching in November, with fans able to register now for a chance to download and play the free beta next month.
Elden Ring Network Test: How to participate in November 2021
Players can register via the Bandai Namco website for a chance to download and play the Elden Ring beta. The Elden Ring Network Test is taking place from November 12 to 15, 2021.
The Elden Ring demo is available to play across five separate three-hour windows. These take place at various times of day, allowing more players to find a slot that fits their schedule.
Elden Ring Network Test sessions schedule (2021)
- 1st Session — 12 pm to 3 pm CET, November 12
- 2nd Session — 4 am to 7 am CET, November 13
- 3rd Session — 8 pm to 11 pm CET, November 13
- 4th Session — 12 pm to 3 pm CET, November 14
- 5th Session — 4 am to 7 am CET, November 15
This pre-release test will present players with their first opportunity to trail Elden Ring ahead of its February 2022 launch. Not much is known at this stage, though the beta will presumably emphasize online play in order to test the online servers. Elden Ring does feature co-op multiplayer, though it isn’t yet clear if there are competitive PvP invasions.
It’s worth noting that signing up doesn’t guarantee entry into the closed Elden Ring beta test. Additionally, the demo only supports PlayStation and Xbox consoles — there’s no PC version.
Due to overwhelming demand, the registration website is currently down. If clicking the link doesn’t work, simply wait and try again later; there’s still plenty of time to register and Bandai Namco hasn’t said anything to indicate it’s a case of first come, first served.
