Digital Storm Will Unveil Their Steam Machine At CES 2014

The gaming computer crafters at Digital Storm sent word today that their very first Steam Machine will be revealed in January at Consumer Electronics Show 2014.

While some Steam Machine makers will aim for console-priced units that merely stream your game from a more powerful tower in your home, Digital Storm want their Steam-powered hardware to sing out of the box. The kit will come in a new small form factor system with full-size liquid cooling, advance airflow management, and a variety of different configurations.

The base Steam Machine from Digital Storm will run roughly $1500, but folks accustomed to customizing their order will get to play around with components. Digital Storm says that their box will launch on January 6th in Las Vegas.

We'll have more from CES in the coming weeks. If you're interested in learning more about Steam Machines, be sure to read Alex's feature on Steam's future in console gaming. Valve has also recently announced that family sharing of software is coming to their service and that hotly anticipated games like a new Half-Life game won't be exclusive to Steam Machines.
