A possible BioShock 4 Game Awards 2021 reveal may be coming, according to a new rumor. The new BioShock 4 leak not only points towards a Game Awards trailer but also a proper reveal early in 2022, and even the title may have been confirmed as BioShock Isolation. If the rumor is correct then fans may see a BioShock Isolation trailer next week, but the release date itself might still not be “a few more years.”
BioShock 4 Game Awards 2021 Reveal: What we know
A new leak and hints from host Geoff Keighley point towards a possible reveal trailer for BioShock 4 at The Game Awards on December 9. Given that it’s been over eight years since BioShock Infinite and most of the details previously released about BioShock 4 are probably massively out of date, a first look at a new game in the much-loved FPS series will be welcome news for fans.
This news comes via leaker @oopsleaks on Twitter, who has posted numerous details about the game — including an early logo design and its possible title of BioShock Isolation. Reportedly, BioShock Isolation will feature a new open-world location with no backtracking, it will have a factions system, it will use Unreal Engine 5, and the team contains veterans who worked on the BioShock, Watch Dogs, Tomb Raider, and Deus Ex franchises. It also may not be a PS5 exclusive, as some have previously suggested.

– Set in a new-to-franchise isolated dystopian city
– Unreal Engine 5
– Developed by Irrational Games veterans and people who worked on Watch Dogs: Legion, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Mafia 3, Deus Ex: MD

BioShock 4 was officially announced two years ago on December 9, 2019, which is the same date as the Game Awards this year. Host Geoff Keighley posted a tease of a world premiere that the show’s organizers “have been working on with a developer for 2.5 years.” Oops Leaks suggests a proper reveal of BioShock Isolation is coming in Q1 2022, but they “do not exclude its appearance on the TGA, judging by the latest messages from Geoff.”
Just saw the final cut of a #thegameawards world premiere we have been working on with a developer for 2.5 years.
Truly honored we are entrusted to share this work with the world.

While a lot of The Game Awards 2021 is a mystery, hopefully BioShock 4/BioShock Isolation will finally get a first look trailer — maybe even alongside a release date trailer for Gotham Knights that may include The Joker’s reveal.
