What is the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC release date? While developer CD Projekt RED has planned a series of free DLC for its most recent and highly divisive RPG, most players want to know when they can expect some proper expansions for Night City in the style of The Witcher 3‘s excellent Blood & Wine. When will the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC expansion release, and will it release on all systems? And is a Switch version coming?
What is the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC release date on PC and consoles?
Cyberpunk 2077 free DLC will likely arrive this month or February with a proper expansion due either later in 2022 or 2023.
A year ago in January 2021, CD Projekt RED confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 would be getting DLC that would also possibly include the next-gen update. In October last year, the developer pushed that roadmap back, saying that both the update and any planned DLC would not release until this year — but that at least re-confirmed that DLC would be coming, and some of it would be free.
Now it seems like CD Projekt is prepping for one of its biggest patches yet, which could be for both the next-gen update and the first free DLC, with an estimated release date of either this month or February, but certainly not very far away. While a full expansion likely won’t release until much later in the year or even next year, as the developer is still focused on fixing the game, the first Cyberpunk 2077 DLC should be here soon.
Will Cyberpunk 2077 DLC release on Nintendo Switch?
At the moment, Cyberpunk 2077 is not planned for any sort of release on Nintendo Switch. After how badly received the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game were, it is highly unlikely CD Projekt RED would choose to put Cyberpunk 2077 on another last-gen system.
