Elden Ring Carian Study Hall Pedestal

Elden Ring Carian Study Hall Pedestal: How to Get to the Divine Tower of Liurnia

The Carian Study Hall is a location in Elden Ring that presents quite the puzzle. It has a pedestal by a globe at its entrance that requires an item, but it doesn’t reveal what it is. Fortunately, the Carian Inverted Statue, which is obtained as part of one of the game’s questlines, is just what players need to learn the secrets of the study hall and gain access to the Divine Tower of Liurnia.

What item do you need to use on the pedestal in the Carian Study Hall in Elden Ring?

Elden Ring Carian Inverted Statue Pedestal

The pedestal in front of the globe in the Carian Study Hall requires the Carian Inverted Statues. The item is obtained as part of one of the main questlines in Elden Ring. In fact, this is one of the rare times that an NPC will give the player an item and tell them precisely what to do with it.

After exploring Nokron as part of Ranni’s questline, players will find the Fingerslayer Blade. This is the secret treasure of the Nokron that Ranni needs to continue her mission. As part of the arrangement she made with the player, she’ll hand over the Carian Inverted Statue.

Players will need to take the Carian Inverted Statue to the Carian Study Hall and use it to reveal the building’s secret form. Unfortunately, even if players made it through the study hall in its normal form, Preceptor Miriam will appear. This enemy is one of the most annoying in the game and constantly teleports while casting powerful magic attacks. She’ll also summon spirit soldiers to protect her, which makes the fight all the more irritating.

The reward to completing the journey through the study hall is access to the Divine Tower of Liurnia. First, however, players have to fight a Godskin Noble to make it there. On top of the tower, players will find an important key item that is linked to one of the endings: The Cursemark of Death.
