Fortnite Players Want Epic Games to Add Will Smith Slap Emote

Fans all across social media are requesting a Fortnite Will Smith slap emote after the events that transpired at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony. Following the Oscars 2022 show, many have posted support for Epic Games to bring back the crossover Will Smith skin for his portrayal of Mike Lowrey in the Bad Boys series of movies.

Why fans have asked for a Fortnite Will Smith skin and slap emotes

Despite winning the Oscar for Best Actor for his role in King Richard, Will Smith’s onstage strike across Chris Rock’s face after a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s baldness remains the sole focus of Oscar night. Some believed that it was staged or part of a humorous bit, but that theory has largely diminished as it has become clearer that it might actually be real (and perhaps even an assault, if true).

Smith attempted to address what happened during his tearful Oscar speech, though it did little in putting out the controversy fire that had already started 30 minutes before.

In response, Fortnite fans wish to commemorate and capitalize on the event by asking Epic Games to bring back the promotional Will Smith skin from 2021 which was removed after being a limited-time item in the shop. Some request that his hands should come with a slap weapon, a slap emote, or as one fan suggested in a tweet (posted above), “a harvesting tool.”

While putting the Will Smith skin back into rotation would be quite difficult for Epic Games, since it was part of an event that has since past and may require another deal with the Bad Boys franchise. That said, the slap emote would likely be much easier for Epic Games to create.

In other news, Fortnite’s No Build mode will likely be made permanent, and One Piece Odyssey has been announced and looks like the “One Piece Dragon Quest” that fans have been clamoring for.
