Halo Infinite Season 2 Release Date

Halo Infinite Season 2 “Lone Wolves” Release Date Announced, Comes With New Battle Pass and Last Spartan Standing

Developer 343 Industries has revealed a new trailer, coupled by a tweet for twice the confirmation, revealing the Halo Infinite Season 2 release date to be May 3, 2022. Named “Lone Wolves,” Season 2 will come with what the developer describes as “fresh content” which includes new modes, new maps, limited-time events, and a new Battle Pass that does not expire.

What we know so far about Halo Infinite Season 2

While details have been limited when it comes to Halo Infinite Season 2’s content, it will come with a new Battle Pass. According to a tweet by Brian Jerrard, the community director at 343 Industries, nearly all of the items shown in the announcement trailer (posted above) will be unlockable through the Battle Pass, and since it doesn’t expire, you can claim each item as your leisure.

Several new multiplayer modes will be introduced throughout Season 2. Along with Land Grab and a revamped version of King of the Hill, a new mode to the franchise called Last Spartan Standing will appear, for which a placeholder can be seen when looking at the game’s custom games menu when in offline mode. The description of “BTB: Last Spartan Standing” makes it sound like Halo’s version of a battle royale:

“Every Spartan for themselves! Level-up your loadout by earning Personal Score to be the last Spartan standing.”

The rules for Last Spartan Standing say that players will have 12 minutes to get the winning score of 50 points, but that may just be the default setting or a general placeholder.

The co-op component for Halo Infinite’s campaign will also arrive in Season 2, though it won’t be available at launch. The much-anticipated Forge mode will not arrive until Season 3.

In late March, Brian Jerrard admitted in a Reddit post that the Halo Infinite community was “simply out of patience” when it came to the developers communicating and updating players on any of the game’s upcoming content.

In other news, Gran Turismo 7 fans are reacting positively to recent updates that fix the game’s credit payouts, and Elden Ring has dominated the chart for PSN’s most-downloaded games in March 2022.
