Sony has just announced PlayStation Now, its highly anticipated Gaikai-powered streaming service.
PlayStation Now will enable gamers to play PlayStation titles across a multitude of devices, including televisions, smartphones, tablets, and, of course, PlayStation hardware. Original PlayStation games, as well as PlayStation 2 and PS3 software, will be playable across these different devices.
As far as pricing, Sony plans to have both a subscription model and an individual rental model. Both The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls will be playable using this technology at the show, and a closed beta will be rolling out at the end of the month. The service is expected to officially launch this summer.
