Contrary to prior reports, Amazon may actually not be working on a gaming console in the traditional sense, but rather a USB dongle that allows streaming of PC titles.
According to multiple inside sources that spoke to Techcrunch, the aforementioned USB-based device will be able to stream full-scale PC games. This makes perfect sense, especially when considering Amazon already sells PC games on its digital store. That said, we'll have to treat this rumor for the time being.
With Sony jumping into the streaming space with PlayStation Now, it's fair to say we'll see more competitors rise up in the months and years to come. Do you think Amazon will be able to successfully pull off a streaming service like this? Let's not forget that the company already has plenty of experience with Amazon Prime.
