The Last of Us Remastered Is Coming to PS4 [Update: SCEA Confirms]

[Update 2] The Last of Us Remastered will launch this summer, a post on the PlayStation Blog has revealed.

Community Strategist at Naughty Dog, Arne Meyer, has shed some light on how this next-gen port will take advantage of the PlayStation 4's technical prowess.

Moving our efforts to the PS4 has allowed us to remaster an already phenomenal looking The Last of Us in 1080p with a list of upgrades including higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, upgraded textures, along with even more improvements.

Naughty Dog plans to share more on this long-rumored release before the game hits store shelves this summer, so stay tuned to GameRevolution for future updates.

[Update] Sony has confirmed to Mashable that a remastered version of Naughty Dog's latest is in fact real and will be coming to PlayStation 4. "SCEA can confirm The Last of Us Remastered is coming to PS4, and we'll be sharing more details with you shortly," a PR rep told the outlet.

In addition, a listing for the game has popped up on Amazon. The description notes that it will include all of the DLC, feature 1080p visuals, and include in-game developer commentary. You can pre-order it here.

[Original] An early PlayStation Store listing confirms what we've already suspected for quite some time: Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic action game is coming to PlayStation 4.

The Last of Us Remastered is now listed for sale on Sony's online store, bearing a price tag of $59.99; however, when you click on the listing, it brings you to a "Page Not Found" notification. I guess Sony jumped the gun!

Here's a screenshot of the listing, as it will likely soon be taken down.

Will you be picking up The Last of Us for PlayStation 4? Here' to hoping the rumors are true and the game is coming this summer.
