Fresh off winning the E3 2014 Game Critics Award for Best Technology over Sony's Project Morpheus earlier this month for the second year in a row, the Oculus Rift will be getting its own conference dubbed Oculus Connect, to be held at the Lowes Hotel in Hollywood, California on September 19-20, 2014.
Via press release, the conference "brings together engineers, designers, and creatives from around the world" to share, offer, and experience the innovative virtual-reality games and applications, while the Oculus Rift has the momentum. Oculus engineers and industry pioneers will be leading sessions, workshops, and hands-on labs to provide direct feedback to attendees.
CTO John Carmack, CEO Brendan Iribe, Founder Palmer Luckey, and Chief Scientist Michael Abrash will deliver keynotes all that is Oculus and virtual reality. Since attendance is limited, these keynotes will at the very least be livestreamed for those who can't make the September 19th show.
No doubt, many will bring and are encouraged to bring their Oculus Rift development kits so that can show off their content in the specially designated showcase and demo station area. Attendee registration will begin July 10th on the official Oculus Rift website and will receive a special hotel room rate.
