MOCAtv Explores Indiecade, Speaks with thatgamecompany in New Episodes

Two new videos from the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles explore games as art by going in depth with two gaming endeavors that have made big splashes in the industry in the past few years.

The first video, above, explores Indiecade, the international festival of independant games held in Culver City. MOCAtv writes "The annual festival highlights games that are intellectual (Rob Lach's 'Pop: Methodology Experiment One'), visually compelling (Jennifer Schneidereit's 'Tengami,' inspired by pop-up books), innovative, and above all radically inclusive."

Following that, MOCAtv's tenth episode exploring Art in Video Games looks to thatgamecompany, developers behind the fantastic Journey. MOCAtv writes that "Nine years ago, Tracy Fullerton of the USC Game Innovation Lab challenged her students to 'design games from the heart.' Independent game designers Jenova Chen and Kellee Santiago of thatgamecompany ('Cloud', 'Journey') accepted her challenge, and in the process, found themselves embraced by indie videogame superstardom."
