Steam has pulled The Stomping Land, self-described as "a multiplayer survival game about living in a world with dinosaurs," from being purchased after several months of non-communication with the developer and publisher SuperCrit.
After receiving over $100,000 from its Kickstarter campaign, well over its $20,000 goal, The Stomping Land seemed to be on the right track, sending out playable versions to Kickstarter backers and weekly updates once the game was available on Steam Early Access for $24.99. But then suddenly the updates stopped coming, the PR member's contract expired, and backers felt so robbed that they started a petition to get their money back.
As with all Early Access game purchases, Valve does not to refund costumers for The Stomping Land as unfortunate as the circumstances may be.
