Runic Games with its successful hit Torchlight, bluntly inspired by Diablo, has sent the above Tweet perhaps in recognition of the recent spread of nerd-rage over the recent announcements on Diablo III: an auction house with real money, no offline mode, and a constant online connection that effectively eliminates mods.
It's not certain whether Torchlight 2 will have real-money auction house, but chances are that they won't trying something as controversial in such a short period of time, particularly when they are concentrating on bringing multiplayer experience into their excellent single-player game. While Diablo has a huge following, Torchlight II has the power to take away a lot of fans from their base (and vice versa), especially if they release around the same time.
