Resident Evil 4 Remake: How to Get More Ammo By Crafting and RNG

You can craft ammo in Resident Evil 4 remake, but sometimes that’s not enough. Fortunately, if you’re looking for more ammo of a specific type, there are ways to either boost your crafting yields or manipulate the RNG, so enemies drop what you want. We’ll cover both of these methods of obtaining extra ammo below.

How to get more ammo in Resident Evil 4 remake

So far, we’ve found two methods in Resident Evil 4 remake that can boost the amount of ammo you’re getting of a particular type:

  • Get more ammo yields when crafting by using charms.
  • Manipulate RNG into dropping the type of ammo you want.

How to craft more ammo at a time

In Resident Evil 4 remake, you can win tokens by completing objectives in the shooting range. You can then exchange these for charms. Some charms will give you +15-20% extra rounds when crafting. This might not seem like a big deal at first, but getting an additional few rounds from every single time you craft adds up.

Manipulate enemy drop RNG

The enemy drop tables in Resident Evil 4 remake are weighted toward Peseta and Gunpowder. If you’ve got a healthy amount of ammo, those are the two items you’re most likely to get. However, there are a few things you can do to influence the RNG into dropping more ammo:

  • Only carry weapons you want ammo to drop for.
  • Use the type of weapon you want ammo for.
  • Be low on the type of ammo you want.

The game will sometimes drop ammo for weapons you’re not carrying. The chances of this increase if you’ve purchased a weapon and have it in your storage. So, if you’re not carrying a weapon and want to minimize your chances of getting ammo for it, consider selling it back to the Merchant.

The chances of enemies dropping a specific type of ammo when you’re using a weapon that uses it. The chances also increase the lower amount of ammo you have. However, the drop rate is still very low for scarce ammo, like Magnum Ammo.

Players can obtain additional ammo in Resident Evil 4 remake by crafting or manipulating the RNG system. While careful resource management is required, using charms to increase crafting yields and adjusting your inventory to influence enemy drops can significantly increase your ammunition reserves. You can ensure that you are well-equipped to face the challenges that lie ahead in the game by balancing skill and strategy.
