Vampire Survivors GPU Lag Fix

Vampire Survivors GPU Lag Fix vs. Normal Launch

When you launch Vampire Survivors on Steam, you get the option to play with GPU Lag Fix. It might seem like an option everyone should use. After all, less lag is always a good thing, right? However, this option isn’t for everyone, and most players should launch the game as normal.

Should I use the GPU Lag Fix when launching Vampire Survivors?

Most players should launch Vampire Survivors as usual. The GPU Lag Fix option is only useful under certain circumstances. In fact, if you have a high-end PC, you’ll likely find the game has more performance issues when you use the lag fix than when you play under the normal mode.

When you play Vampire Survivors for the first time, try the normal mode first. If you find that the game lags, try to launch it using the GPU Lag Fix option. It may help the game run better if you’re on low-spec hardware. However, even on the Steam Deck, I found that normal mode worked better.

Note that lag won’t become apparent in Vampire Survivors until you’re near the end of a match and have fully upgraded weapons. That means you’ll want to play the full thirty minutes before you decide whether the GPU Lag Fix is helping or harming your performance.
