The Hogwarts Legacy Xbox One and PS4 versions are finally available for purchase, but many are wondering whether the Digital Deluxe Edition is worth buying. While this question is easier to answer for the current-gen versions of the game, the context is different for the last-gen versions. For Xbox One and PS4, the Digital Deluxe versions are $20 more than the standard version, and they come with some content that might be more enticing. Here’s whether Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe is worth getting for last-gen Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
Is Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe worth buying for Xbox One and PS4?
Yes, the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe is worth buying for Xbox One and PS4, but only if you intend to get a Xbox Series X|S or PS5 in the future.
The Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe costs $79.99 and the most important thing that it comes with is two versions of the game, one for last-gen and another for current-gen. Specifically, that means it either has the PS5 and PS4 versions, or the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions. That’s not a bad deal for just an extra $20 more above the standard editions, which are priced at $59.99, but if you don’t intend to purchase a current-gen console, then you might as well skip it.
Otherwise, the Digital Deluxe Editions come with the usual Dark Arts Pack and Dark Arts Garrison Hat. The Dark Arts Pack comes with the Thestral Mount, Dark Arts Cosmetic Set, and Dark Arts Battle Arena. Overall, that’s not a lot of extra content, and we don’t think that the Deluxe edition is worth getting just for these unless you’re a huge Harry Potter fan or you like the look of these cosmetics.
