Barbie is not only getting her own vehicle in Forza Horizon 5. She’s also receiving her own Xbox Series S.
How to win the Barbie Xbox Series S
As announced on the Xbox Wire, Xbox is giving away a hot pink Xbox Series S with the Barbie: The Movie logo on one side. This system is placed in the middle of a large, multistory playhouse with other tiny accessories. It’ll even have a controller with different faceplates that are meant to evoke the different outfits Barbie and Ken wear. It doesn’t come with five controllers, like the picture might imply at a glance, but five faceplates and one controller.
The console itself won’t be purchasable but will be a part of an upcoming Microsoft Rewards sweepstakes. This will mean players have to spend points to enter the sweepstakes, which starts on July 10 (11 days before the film’s theatrical release). It’s also unclear how many systems will be part of this sweepstakes, but more details will likely go live soon.
Microsoft has held a handful of licensed console sweepstakes through Microsoft Rewards in the past. These unique consoles have crossed over with Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Mrs. Marvel, Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, just to name a few.
Barbie was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird, Little Women) from a screenplay she co-wrote with Noah Baumbach. Joining Robbie are Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Scott Evans, Kate McKinnon, Ariana Greenblatt, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Issa Rae, Michael Cera, Hari Nef, Will Ferrell, Helen Mirren, Dua Lipa, and more.
