Disney Speedstorm went into Early Access in April. However, being an Early Access title, that was only the beginning. Gameloft has now announced that Disney Speedstorm is hitting its 1.0 launch for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 28.

This kart racer will be free-to-play after that date, but its Founder’s Packs will be up until then. These Founder’s Packs start at $29.99 (and end at $69.99) and include all sorts of limited-time suits, credits, racers, and cosmetics. To celebrate this announcement, many of these packs are on sale across every platform (but, for some reason, the sales differ across each one). VP and studio manager at Gameloft Barcelona Alexandru Adam said the team is proud of what Early Access has brought to the licensed crossover title.
“We are immensely proud of what Disney Speedstorm has become,” said Adam. “With the additions and improvements made during Early Access, we are excited to move to free-to-play, which allows for a true and robust competitive and co-op player experience.”
Disney Speedstorm has received a few seasons of content since its Early Access launch. The first season revolved around Monsters Inc., the second season was focused on Toy Story, and the upcoming third season is all about Lilo & Stitch. These new racers, tracks, and items also came alongside various balance changes, user interface tweaks, and bug fixes.
