The Fort Solis server puzzle is one of the more difficult brain teasers in the entire game since it doesn’t offer much feedback. It’s also, as is the case with many other parts in the game, quite dark in that room. Here’s how to solve the puzzle in the server room in Fort Solis.
How to solve the puzzle in the server room in Fort Solis
The server puzzle solution is actually rather easy, but it’s not communicated clearly. To solve the server puzzle, look at the computer in the back near the corpse. It will have five numbers on it. To solve it, go to the server terminals in that order from left to right. For example, in the above picture, the solution would be to go to 25, 28, 23, 35, and 39 in that order. Each server terminal has a big number on it, too.
However, the tricky part comes in activating each server. You have to wait to press X (or the analogous button on other systems) when the icon is filled in. Timing it incorrectly will not work.
The lights on a completed server done correctly will glow white (as shown in the above picture), but glowing white just means it was done correctly, it doesn’t mean that it was the correct number. The main console is a solid signifier on you’ve turned on the right servers. Each correct number will have a checkmark over it (as it does in the above picture). An incorrect number will have a cross over it on the main console. Doing one number incorrectly will mean you have to start all over.
Once every server has been correctly turned on, just go to the main console and hit the interaction button.

A: To determine the correct order for activating the servers, you should look at the computer in the back near the corpse. It will display five numbers. Then, you’ll need to approach the server terminals in that sequence from left to right, with each terminal having its corresponding big number.
A: When you’ve activated a server correctly, its lights will glow white. However, while glowing white confirms you activated it correctly, it doesn’t verify that it was the right number in the sequence. The primary way to confirm the correct sequence is by looking at the main console. Each correct number will have a checkmark over it, and an incorrect one will display a cross. If you activate even one number incorrectly, you’ll need to start the sequence all over.
