Spiderman 2 Delilah: Who is the Spider-Verse Character in the Bar?

The Spiderman 2 Delilah character is one of the few cameos in the Marvel superhero game. She has a different look than the other characters and is her cutscene is part of the reward for getting all of the Spider-Bots and completing the mission titled “The Message.” Here’s who the animated Spider-Verse character in the bar is in Spiderman 2.

Who is the Spiderman 2 Delilah character?

The Delilah character in Spiderman 2 is from the Spider-Verse movies, particularly 2023’s Across the Spider-Verse. However, players might not recognize her from the acclaimed film, which is for a good reason: She was cut from the final version and only spoken about by some of its creators.

She can still also be found in the movie’s official art book despite getting axed from the theatrical release. Her official description calls her a “tough-as-nails villain who is the bartender and proprietor at the Bar With No Name, the hidden watering hole for New York City’s supervillains.” Director Kemp Powers stated that she was an adept assassin that’s skilled with blades and hand-to-hand combat. She even has a blade in her hair, making her ponytail a deadly weapon.

The scenes have Spot getting denied a drink and being laughed at by the other villains. However, he returns at the end when he’s more powerful to lay the smack down. Delilah allegedly shows Spot more pity than the other villains, something Powers noted might be because she could have some sort of ulterior motive. It remains to be seen if she will make the official cut in Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Delilah’s role in the 2023 Spiderman 2 game is much more limited. She merely says she does favors for people every now and then before explaining that rogue Spider-Bots are dangerous and “bad for business.” She then takes the Spider-Bots from Peter Parker or Miles Morales and says that it’s “finders keepers” if Miguel comes looking for them.

It’s intentionally very vague, as it’s unclear what the Spider-Bots actually do and why Miguel O’Hara, Spiderman 2099 and one of the antagonists from Across the Spider-Verse, would want them. It is possible that this thread may be touched upon in a future Spiderman game or in Beyond the Spider-Verse.
