Monopoly Go Safe Trading Explained: How to Trade Stickers Safely

The Monopoly Go Safe Trading feature is finally available globally, but it might be confusing to figure out how to use it correctly and if it has any limitations. This Safe Trading was tested in Brazil last month, and Scopely has seen fit to release it now, more than several weeks before the Heartfelt Holidays sticker album is set to end. By using exchange requests and trade confirmations, this new feature will make sure that you are not scammed out of your rare 4-star and 5-star stickers, which has been a rampant problem since sticker trading was enabled. Here’s how to trade stickers safely using the Safe Trading feature for Monopoly Go.

How to use Monopoly Go Safe Trading feature

The following steps will allow you to use the Safe Trading feature for Monopoly Go:

  1. Find a trader – We recommend a dedicated trading Discord to find potential traders, but you can also use Reddit and other community sites to post and locate a potential trader.
  2. Add trader to friends list – Have you or the potential trader and each other as friends.
  3. Click on duplicate sticker to trade – So long as you have an extra duplicate for a sticker, you can click on it in the album and then hit “Friend” to send this.
  4. Have trader see transaction in timeline – The trader will then see your exchange request in the person’s timeline. From there, the trader can accept the request and put up their own sticker for trade.
  5. Accept or deny the trade – You’ll receive a notification in your timeline on the trade, and see what the other party has put up. Make sure that the person put up the right sticker and then accept the trade.

Players still have a daily trade limit of 5 stickers per day, and using this Safe Trading feature counts toward this limit.

If the other party doesn’t respond to your request, your sticker will be returned to you once the daily limit resets. It can be frustrating that it’s locked in place, but at least you’ll get it back in time. Declining the offer will mean that you and the other party will need to restart the trade again.
