Here’s my verdict after using it at home and also in a hotel room during a weekend vacation.

Portable yet powerful

As mentioned in the introduction, the Mars 3 Air supports 1080p resolution, projecting up to 120 inches. Its brightness surpasses many other available options, offering 400 ANSI Lumens for a portable unit. This leads to a more visible image during daylight hours, though users will still want to limit the light coming into rooms for the best viewing experience.

Its chunkier size accommodates larger audio components, with two 8W speakers ready to deliver Dolby Digital Sound.

It can last for a whole movie

Battery life is notable at 2.5 hours, ensuring even longer movies can be watched from start to finish without needing a power source. I tested this with Spider-Man: Homecoming, a movie lasting 2 hours and 13 minutes, and finished with 10% battery life remaining. I consider that close enough, especially given the common discrepancies in how many companies measure battery life.

Also worth noting, a feature many users will appreciate, is that the Mars 3 Air is officially licensed by Netflix, allowing direct access to streaming content on the device. This means there’s no need to purchase an additional streaming stick or similar device.

Easy setup

The NEBULA Mars 3 Air excels at delivering a crisp 1080p output with minimal setup effort, thanks to the Intelligent Environment Adaptation Technology that automatically corrects image alignment and focus. If the automatic functions don’t quite get it right, manual adjustments are easy to carry out. Manual adjustments were necessary in more challenging environments, such as the small hotel room where I stayed.

It’s hefty

Although designed for portability, its heavier weight may be slightly cumbersome for those seeking ultra-lightweight options. Another downside is the absence of USB-C charging, which was a surprising omission.
