Dragon’s Dogma 2 Weight Load: How to Increase Carrying Capacity & Inventory Space

Figuring out how to increase Dragon’s Dogma 2 weight load is incredibly important. Needing to get more carrying capacity or inventory space is key if you want to stock up on recovery items. It’s easy to overload your character and your party with too much stuff, leading to low run speed, mobility, and stamina regeneration. Fortunately, there are several ways to improve your overall weight load so that you can carry as much as you without becoming over-encumbered. Here’s how to add more carrying capacity in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to improve maximum Dragon’s Dogma 2 weight load and carrying capacity?

The following are several methods you can use to increase weight load for your character in Dragon’s Dogma 2:

  1. Start with more height and weight – It’s a minor effect, but having a character with more muscle and height will improve your overall carrying capacity. Sure, you’ll take a hit when it comes to stamina regeneration, but there are plenty of items that will restore your stamina if you need it.
  2. Find Golden Trove Beetles – Every Golden Trove Beetle you find and consume from your inventory will increase your overall weight load by 0.15 kg. It’s not a lot, but there are a lot of beetles out there and so the increased carrying capacity certainly adds up over time. You’ll find most of these golden beetles on trees spread throughout the world. They can be easy to miss, though, so if your party is capable of travelling at night, you can spot them more easily with a dark backdrop.

It’s also important not to be a packrat and offload your inventory frequently. This means handing over extra crafting items you don’t need, like ore and monster materials, to your pawns, and sifting through your inventory back at an inn. Camping kits are fantastic items but they weigh a ton, so you definitely want to give them to your pawns instead.

In general, we recommend that you have a light weight load by the time you finish organizing your inventory, so that you have plenty of space for further item-gathering. As long as you have a few Panacea or high-grade Raborant items, as well as a handy Dragon’s Gaze, you should be fine for exploration.
