Just because it’s not Amazon Prime Day doesn’t mean there are no deals to be had on the world’s largest online retailer. There are savings to be had all year round on Amazon if you look hard enough, and the best part is you don’t have to wait for a timer to count down or worry about limited supply. Of course, since we’re a gaming and tech site, we’ll be focusing on Amazon game, computer, and consumer electronics deals. So, if you were hoping to find a great mattress, chair, toaster oven, microwave, or any other home goods, you may want to look elsewhere.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – PlayStation 4 Standard Edition
It’s still a few months until the Call of Duty Modern Warfare reboot hits store shelves, so there’s no better time to get into Black Ops 4. With three different modes, zombies, multiplayer, and Blackout, there’s a ton of things to do, and the player base is still going strong eight months from release. Our Mack Ashworth gave the game a 4 out of 5 and noted that the Blackout battle royale mode is especially good.
God of War – PlayStation 4
God of War was one of the best games of 2018, and if you haven’t played it yet, you’re really missing out. This game takes Kratos from ancient Greece to the frigid wilds of the Norse and has him facing down mythological figures with his son Atreus as they journey to spread his wife’s ashes. I gave it a perfect score as fewer games this console generation have delivered the tight gameplay and fantastic story that God of War has to offer.

Microsoft Xbox One Controller + Cable
The Xbox One controller is my personal favorite, and getting it on sale makes it even better. Microsoft, like Sony, has refined its controller over the past few generations and the Xbox One controller is the culmination of over a decade of experience. Not only does this controller (obviously) work great on Xbox One, it also interfaces seamlessly with Windows. For this price, you can’t go wrong, and you might as well get one for your Xbox and one for PC, so you don’t have to sync every time you switch platform.
Xbox One X 1TB Console
The Xbox One X is the most powerful console on the market right now. We don’t yet know what the PS5 and Project Scarlett are going to be like, but Microsoft won this generation as far as raw power. This bad boy can play 4K UHD Blu Rays and output 4K resolution when playing select games. It also retains all the backward compatibility that makes the Xbox One platform a great buy, especially if you already have a sizable library of past-gen games.
Grand Theft Auto 5 – Xbox One
It’s hard to believe it has been five years since Grand Theft Auto 5 came out. It’s still one of the most-played games and is a consistent seller. If you’ve somehow missed out, you’re in for a treat. There’s a whole world to explore, and the story in GTA5 is one of the strongest in the series. For this price, you almost can’t afford not to take the dive with Trevor, Franklin, and Michael.

Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster – Nintendo Switch
Final Fantasy X is a classic, and the HD remaster makes it a lot easier on the eyes. FFX HD also brings the additions that came with the international edition, including the Dark Aeons and Sphere Grid changes. Final Fantasy X-2 picks up where FFX left off and takes a Charlie’s Angels approach with Rikku, Yuna, and newcomer Payne trying to seek out Tidus, who seems to have survived the previous game. While the Switch version isn’t the first time this collection has been on a mobile platform, the Switch has the extra screen space and horsepower to supersede the Vita release.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle – Nintendo Switch Standard Edition
Who’d have thought that Nintendo’s perennial plumber and Rayman’s greatest enemies would make such a good combination? Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a surprisingly deep, yet simple to pick up turn-based strategy game that plays out a bit like the XCOM series. It’s a cute and funny romp through the Mushroom Kingdom with the Rabbids shaking things up.
LEGO DC Super-Villians – Nintendo Switch
It feels good to be bad, and it helps if you’re cute too. You can be both in LEGO DC Super-Villains, which lets you create your own n’er-do-well to face off against a fledgling band of superheroes. This game is a great co-op experience and is fun the whole family can enjoy.

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 and 2700X Processors
AMD is releasing their new generation of processors, and that means the old ones are going on sale. Despite not being the latest thing, the AMD Ryzen 7 2700 and 2700X processors both give you a lot of bang for your buck. Both of these are great for a mid-high range gaming rig, and with their 8 core/16 thread count they’re excellent for multimedia applications as well.
Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC
Gaming laptops are sometimes seen as a gimmick, but the Predator Helios 300 is an affordable alternative to a desktop. It has an i7-8750H 6-core processor, a GTX 1060, and 16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM. One unique thing about this laptop is that it has sacrificed a high-res screen in favor of refresh rate. With the Helios 300, you can game at 1080p and 144Hz on the go. For those who cherish framerate above all else, this might be the gaming laptop for you.
Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor
The Alienware 25 gaming monitor is another product for gamers who put response time and framerate above resolution. This monitor displays at 1080p, which is low for screens in this price range, but it offsets that by outputting video natively at 240 Hz. It also has Freesync, which means you can avoid tearing without getting that nasty, laggy VSync feel.
