The Long Dark, a game that’s been in Steam’s Early Access for going on three years, has been well-known for its sandbox-survival mode, but a new way to play the popular survival game will be debuting tomorrow: Story Mode. Announced earlier this year, the story mode will be called Wintermute: Season One, and will debut with two episodes.
But how long will this keep you playing The Long Dark? According to the developers, the combination of episode one and episode two will run anywhere from 16-19 hours, with 6-7 hours spent on episode one and 10-12 hours spent on episode two.
Of course, the game’s Survival Mode is unlimited, and has been carrying The Long Dark throughout its multi-year early access build, so you will always have that.
