The new Arctic Ace skins have been added to Fortnite: Battle Royale this week, and you can purchase eight of them. One of the ski skins is a standard model, and the other seven are each repping a different country. These new cosmetics were added in commemoration of the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and allow you to rep the country you want to take home the gold. Well, at least if you want one of the seven nations available to win. If you’re rooting for any of the other 186 countries that aren’t represented here, then you’re out of luck.
How to Get Arctic Ace Ski Skins in Fortnite and How Much They Cost
These Arctic Ace skins are Epic rarity, and you can buy them via the in-game cosmetic shop. These new skins will set you back 1500 V-Bucks, which if you buy at the base level of 1000 V-Bucks for $9.99, means they cost $15 apiece.
As always, these skins don’t convey any gameplay advantages and depending on which one you choose; you run the risk of making yourself stand out against the background more than usual. You can purchase the following 8 ski skins in Fortnite right now:
- Base
- Canada
- China
- France
- Germany
- Great Britain
- South Korea
- The USA
It’s not known if more countries will be added to the collection of Arctic Ace skins for Fortnite. However, with the Olympics starting this Friday and continuing for the next few weeks, it’s very likely we’ll see more added next week.
Whether or not these skins are overpriced is subjective of course, but it would have been nice to include these in a bundle since they’re just variations on the same outfit.
