Stardew Valley Bait

Stardew Valley Bait: How to Use Bait in Stardew Valley

The Stardew Valley bait is a hot commodity in the Valley, especially as it can be that one thing that can make you 1,000 g richer by the end of the day. Your introduction to Stardew Valley fishing isn’t the clearest and trying to figure out things yourself can work, but often leads to disaster and a lot of wasted time on your part.

One of the hardest things to figure out is equipping bait in Stardew Valley, which can be life or death when it comes to catching bigger, better fish. You do want to get all those gold pieces, now don’t you? So, let’s take a look at our master bait very good bait guide.

Stardew Valley Bait: Where to Find Bait in Stardew Valley

First off, there’s more than one type of bait in the game, because why make it easier to get the fish you want, right? Currently, there are only three types of bait, two of which can be bought in Willy’s fishing shop on the beach. This bait is the normal bait that costs 5 g, and magnet bait which costs 1,000 g, which is more than a little pricey.

Of course, you can always create bait through the crafting system by using one piece of bug meat for normal bait, and one iron bar for magnet meat. But what about the third piece of bait? That would be the wild bait, which can only be achieved from a good relationship with Linus which you craft with 10 fiber, five slime, and five pieces of bug meat.

Stardew Valley Bait: How To Equip and Use Bait

So you know where to get bait, but how on earth do you equip it? One mistake that everyone seems to make is that they think they can equip bait on the Old Rod that Willy gives you, but sadly that isn’t the case. If you want to equip bait you can only do so with the Fiberglass Rod, the Iridium Rod or the Crab Pot.

Equipping the bait is dependent on which console you’re playing, but you must simply drag the bait over the rod and press the confirmation button in order to equip the rod with the right bait.

When that’s done, it’s time to fish like you’ve never fished before.
