Epic Games has released the latest Fortnite emote, and it’s called the Fortnite Fancy Feet emote. It’s a funky dance, which has split the battle royale game player community over what dance actually inspired the emote in question. Read on below to see the dances that might have been the new emote’s inspiration, as well as how to unlock it.
Fortnite Fancy Feet: What is the Fortnite Fancy Feet Emote?
Just like the Fortnite Dance Therapy emote, the Fortnite Fancy Feet emote seems to have been inspired or based on an existing iconic dance. However, gamers are citing two different dances for the new emote. These include Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean dance and Myth’s boogie down dance. First, check out the comparison videos made by users Fukezu and TheMakMan below.
First up is Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean dance.
Next up is Myth’s boogie down dance.
Now compare that with the Fortnite Fancy Feet emote. From our observations, it looks like the more likely inspiration for the new emote is Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean dance. However, this is merely speculation on our part, and even Epic is unlikely to confirm it in case of any legal issues. Check out the official announcement for the Fortnite Fancy Feet emote below, which was tweeted by the official Fortnite Twitter account earlier today.

Fortnite Fancy Feet: How to Get the Fortnite Fancy Feet Emote
Players won’t have to complete any specific challenges to unlock the Fancy Feet emote. They will only need to head over to the Fortnite Item Shop and fork out a total of 500 V-bucks for it. It’s a Rare emote, so it won’t be as expensive as the last week’s Fortnite Dance Therapy emote. Grab it now, while you still can, and bust out some moves like the late, iconic Michael Jackson (or Myth).
