Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is full of many wonderful secrets and mysteries, but the biggest you’ll face early on in the game, if you’ve been exploring, is the AC Odyssey Forgotten Isle. It’s easy to get to, but the cave is blocked. So how do you get inside the Cave of the Forgotten Isle? We’ll show you.
Where is the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Forgotten Isle?
The Forgotten Isle is the isle of Thisvi, which you probably encountered shortly after you got your ship and left Kephallonia for the first time. It’s a small but significantly-sized island just of the coast of Phokis, on the way to Megaris, and if you’re not just in the game for story missions you’ve probably explored it. There’s a strange temple underwater, and what sounds like some sort of monster behind a stone door, which you can’t open. Kassandra/Alexios suggests coming back later. But when?
How to Access the Cave of The Forgotten Isle
Honestly, forget about the Forgotten Isle for a good long time. You’ll need to wait until you’re around level 35-40 before you can do anything with it. Then you’ll want to travel way down in the southernmost part of the map, to the island of Kythera. Here you’ll find a number of missions to complete.
Do these, and eventually you’ll get the “A God Among Men” quest, where you have to rescue a man named Empedokles (who claims to be a god) from an enemy outpost. Save him, and he’ll give you a load of side missions. These require you to travel back to Thisvi and the Cave of the Forgotten Isle, at which point you’ll be able to access the cave and get past the stone door. As for what you’ll find there, well, we wouldn’t want to spoil things for you. Get to level 40 and find out for yourself!
