A Division 2 Castle Settlement locked bug is stopping players from progressing through the main campaign. If you’ve been affected by the Castle Settlement being grayed out during your playthrough, we come bearing helpful hints over how to resolve it. Find out what The Division 2 Castle Settlement locked bug fix is.
The Division 2 Castle Settlement Locked | Why can’t I enter?
The Division 2 Castle Settlement locked glitch surfaces once you have completed the Jefferson Plaza mission. After you finish this story mission, the Castle Settlement is suddenly grayed out and prevents you from entering it. Where once there was a green color highlighting passage to this outpost, there isn’t now.
For some, the prompt to talk to Agent Kelso still appears to take on the next mission in this area, but players are unable to interact with it.
Plenty of players have taken to the Ubisoft support forums to try and see what the issue is, and whethere there’s a fix for it. This bug has affected people on PS4 and Xbox One, judging by these linked threads. Whilst there hasn’t been any mention of it happening on PC, we would suspect that all platforms will have been afflicted by it.
This may not be such a big issue if it was a side mission but, for one of the main campaign missions, it’s a huge error that is preventing player progress.
The Division 2 Castle Settlement Locked | Is there a fix?
Nope, there isn’t. The Division 2 Castle Settlement locked bug is yet to be resolved. The teams at Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment are, however, aware of it and are actively trying to solve it.
A recent patch, which was detailed on the game’s Reddit page, showed that another issue — where you couldn’t talk to Kelso full stop — was supposed to have been fixed.
If the team is aware of this glitch, and the other Kelso one, they should be sorting out a fix for this one very soon. Hang tight, and hopefully your progress won’t be stunted for much longer.
