The Division 2 Co-Op Scaling Bug

The Division 2 Co-Op Scaling Bug | Why is co-op leveling not working?

The Division 2 co-op scaling bug is making it impossible for friends to play together if they’re at different ranks. The feature is supposed to help you and your mates tackle things in unison, but it’s not working quite as planned. See what The Division 2 co-op scaling bug fix is with our help.

The Division 2 Co-Op Scaling Bug

The Division 2 Co-Op Scaling Bug

The Division 2 co-op scaling bug is a tricky little thing. Like other online multiplayer titles, Ubisoft Massive’s RPG shooter is supposed to scale enemies down to the level that the lowest ranked player, in any squad, is. This is supposed to let players, who haven’t progressed as much as their friends, to feel like a vital part of your agent squad.

This isn’t currently the case though. Players have found that the co-op scaling feature is scaling enemy ranks up to the highest level player in a squad. This means that lower level agents are being downed with one or two shots from enemy factions.

Threads like this Ubisoft forum one are full of players complaining about the issue, as it’s making their experiences less enjoyable.

The Division 2 Co-Op Scaling Bug Fix

The Division 2 Co-Op Scaling Bug

The Division 2 co-op scaling bug fix is non-existent at the moment. Despite players complaining about it for almost five days now, there still isn’t any word from Ubisoft Massive that a patch for it is coming any time soon. The best thing you can do is try and grind to the same level as your friend(s) and vice-versa, which is a bit of a hard ask.

Ubisoft support staff, such as UbiGabrinth, have revealed that the issues have been passed onto the team though. There doesn’t seem to be an issue with damage given by agents to enemies, but there is a big discrepancy in the damage you receive from opponents.

Hopefully there will be a fix for this issue when the next patch drops. This shouldn’t be too long as there’s plenty of small fixes that Ubisoft Massive need to implement.
