Ever since The Division 2 changed things around with Title Update 2 on April 5, players across PC, PS4, and Xbox One have been encountering brand-new and annoying bugs and glitches. This includes The Division 2 settings reset bug. Read on to discover exactly what The Division 2 reset settings bug is doing to players and if there is a fix for the issue of your control schemes returning to default or not.
The Division 2 Settings Reset | What’s the problem?
According to this official Ubisoft Support forum thread, more than a few Division 2 players have been experiencing the same reset settings bug since the patch went live. It appears that at the very least that all Controls, Audio, 3rd Party, and UI settings have been reset to game default settings since the latest game patch.
This, of course, is an annoying bug. All of those minutes you put into tailoring the game’s settings to fit your own preference down the drain. And for what? We’re here for you. On a more serious note, it is annoying that your personal Division 2 settings have been reset. Read on to see if there is a fix for the bug.
The Division 2 Settings Reset | Is there a fix?
While you won’t want to hear it, there is no official fix for the settings reset bug in The Division 2 as of writing. Unfortunately, you will need to go through all your game settings and set them up manually again. A pain in the ass, sure, but nothing a few minutes of tinkering won’t fix. You’ll get those personalized settings back again soon.
If spending a while to get your settings back to how you like them isn’t for you, Ubisoft may well fix the bug. This could come as an update or hotfix that rolls back on some of the changes made as part of the new update, in much the same way Apex Legends did earlier in April. It appears that The Division 2 settings reset bug isn’t the only issue after the latest update. Ubisoft could well provide another update to fix this issue (and others) sooner rather than later. Let’s hope this is the case.
