Apex Legends launched in February 2019 and quickly amassed a player base of 50 million players. Quickly after the launch, Respawn promised a battle pass system that was similar to that of Fortnite where players are able to level up and grind for different rewards by accomplishing that season’s challenges. Apex Legends Season 1 started on March 15 and has offered players tons of loot for achieving different tiers. Now that Season 1 has been going on for three weeks, players are beginning to wonder how much longer they have to tier up their character before Season 1 ends and Apex Legends Season 2 begins. So, what time does Apex Legends Season 2 start?
When will Apex Legends Season 2 start?
In a Year 1 Roadmap, Respawn laid out the studio’s plans for the first four seasons of Apex Legneds that takes the game all the way to December 2019. In it, the team stated that the Apex Legends Season 2 start date would be sometime in June 2019. However, that has been delayed until the start of July. Following Season 2, Season 3 will release in September and Season 4 in December. Each Season will bring with it a new Legends and Battle Pass rewards like weapons, gear, and various skins.
Apex Legends Season 2 will start on July 2, adding a new Hero, weapon, and other new features to the game. Of course, a Season 2 Battle Pass will also be available for players to purchase.
In a Q&A on the Respawn website, the developers were asked how long each season will last, to which they responded: “Each season will run for approximately three months.” So, if Apex Legends Season 2 starts exactly three months after Season 1, then you could expect Season 2 on June 15. However, we’d be surprised if Season 2 begins on that exact date. Although, we do expect it to start a week or so after that. Nevertheless, it is really just a guessing game until Respawn decides to release more information about the Apex Legends Season 2 start date.
