Fortnite Reboot Vans | How to use respawn vans in Battle Royale
The Fortnite Reboot Vans are expected to release in the upcoming 8.30 update this week, introducing these respawn vehicles in different locations across the map. To revive a teammate, players need to first pick up their fallen teammate’s Reboot Card from where they were killed, and then make their way to one of the Fortnite Reboot Vans on the map. After interacting with the vehicle, respawned players will then reappear on top of the van, and can then resume playing normally. This process will be familiar to any players of Apex Legends, which utilizes a similar system of player banners and respawn beacons.
If you have multiple Reboot Cards to redeem, and multiple teammates to revive, these have to be used one-by-one. Unfortunately, the Fortnite Reboot Vans also need time to recharge after being used, so reviving multiple teammates can be a difficult and time-consuming process. Likewise, the respawn van releases a bright column of light into the sky after being activated, so nearby players will know that you’re vulnerable. It’s not yet known if players are respawned with any of their former equipment, so it might be wise to swiftly scarper from the Reboot Van once you’ve respawned your teammate.
